Legacy

Curley Jones impacted many people throughout his life, and left an undeniable mark on the University of Utah after over 39 years of working at the Marriott Library. To his family, he was a pillar of support and a provider. He raised two of his nephews as his own, and gave them lifelong lessons on the importance of religion and education, the two most important things in Curley's life. For many of his former colleagues, his legacy lies in the work he did at the Marriott Library and the support he provided to every student, faculty member, and community member he came across. Although there is no collection or archive at the Marriott Library documenting Curley's work, his legacy continues through those he touched in life. I was able to interview some of these people; listen to their reflections on Curley's legacy below.

Paul Mogren (library colleague)

Dave Morrison (library colleague)

Dr. William A. Smith (University colleague and religious community member)

France Davis (University colleague and religious community member)
