- Printed in New York by Russell’s American Steam Printing House and sent to Salt Lake City in 1868, the Second Book was one of the first volumes to be printed in the Deseret Alphabet. The Deseret Second Book contained seventy-two pages. Ten thousand copies were printed, selling at twenty cents each.
