- Wallace Doi was a member of the 100th Battalion and 442nd Regimental Combat Team during WWII. He was injured during battle in Europe and was sent to Bushnell Hospital in Brigham City, Utah to recover from his wounds (leg was amputated), earning a purple heart and bronze star.
