How do we present Oral Histories?
Oral histories unfortunately do not materialize at a whim, but thankfully for the public the Marriott Library works tirelessly to gather these materials. Faculty from several different departments help create oral histories and coordinate with outside groups to ensure that the content is readily available and diverse. The American West Center connects with locals who have interesting stories to tell to conduct interviews that help recount their lives. The library is the repository for these oral histories, and together the two institutions create an effective system for recording, editing, and presenting content.
