About
This site is the result of an ongoing collaboration between Sema Hadithi African American Heritage and Culture Foundation, based in Salt Lake City, the Equal Justice Initiative, a nonprofit organization founded in 1989 by Bryan Stevenson and based in Montgomery, Alabama, and Professors James Tabery and Paul Reeve in the Philosphy and History Departments at the University of Utah. Professors Tabery and Reeve, assisted by students enrolled in a Philosophy of Race class, partnered with Associate Librarian Anna Neatrour and Web Software Developer Leah Donaldson at the Marriott Library to create this digital repository of sources and information regarding Utah's vicitims of racial lynching.
