Because of Her
The Utah Museum of Fine Arts, J. Willard Marriott Library, and Better Days 2020 partnered with community storytelling organization The Bee and 90.9fm KRCL to present Because of Her: Stories of Women Making a Difference. The program, originally intended for an in person audience, was produced by Lara Jones as a special edition of 90.9fm KRCL RadioACTive and hosted by Giuliana Serena of The Bee.
Because of Her asked Utah women of action to tell the story of a woman who made a difference in their lives. Storytellers included in this special program are:
Erika George - Teacher, World Traveler, Activist
Ciriac Alvarez Valle - Poet, Speaker, Community Organizer
Luna Banuri - Advocate, Policy Analyst, Executive Director
Pilar Pobil - Artist, Writer, Community Builder
Denae Shanidiin - Creator, Bilá'ashdla (five fingered relative), Honágháahnii (one who walks around clan)
