From suffrage to civil rights and beyond, women have created visual and verbal symbols to advance their causes. Utah suffragists sang songs about political equality and marched in parades with sashes and signs. Over 100 years later, many Utah women created their own hats, sashes, and signs for the January 2017 Women’s March. What could you create to promote a cause you care about?
