The Battle of Life and How to Fight It stands as one of Col. Allensworth's most famous speeches, displayed here, and will be reenacted at a Feb 2023 event at the Post Chapel.
How Negro Soldiers Fought for the Flag was recently discovered by Alice Faulkner Burch as an additional famous speech written by Lt. Col. Allensworth, published in the Los Angeles Times in 1909. A performance of the speech occurred at a National Buffalo Soldiers Day event at the University of Utah Marriott Library.
