Why, my men will make
fifteen or eighteen
hundred dollars a month for several months
in a row: contracts
are pretty good for the Navajo. And yet
I don't see these men have any more left
over when they come back home
from the reservation
than the white men working
for wages. I guess they never plan
to see a millionaire in the crowd
or anything like that back home.
It’s possible,
I guess, there are such things
as Navajo millionaires
but I never see them.
